Now Offering Electroless Nickel Plating (EN)

At American Plating Company, we have been serving both the St. Louis local and the national markets for over 70 years.  Our system of plating and polishing has earned us an outstanding reputation among industrial engineers as a result of hard-work and dedication. We take pride in the high quality of our craft and thank you for encouraging us to expand and grow.

One of the great challenges associated with traditional plating methods is plating recesses and blind holes while consisting of a stable thickness.  The plating process is highly dependent on passing electrical currents through a chemical solution. Metallic ions adhere to any other metallic object submerged.

Placing the project into an electro-plate bath which uses special anodes helps even out each coating. Otherwise it is unlikely that the electrical current will even touch the concave (interior) side, leaving it undercoated and vulnerable.

Electroless Nickel Plating (EN) is the most effective way to ensure a perfectly even coat.  This process does not rely on an electrical current. Therefore, an even coating’s on parts and surfaces regardless of irregularity in shape as a result of EN.  In addition to being able to plate blind holes, it also allows more control of plate thickness and finish.

Announcement!

American Plating Company, is officially announcing the addition of Electroless Nickel Plating (EN) to our list of expertise.  We are confident that the bright EN finish now offered will provide you the incredibly durable, smooth, corrosion resistance that your products demand.  Whether you develop highly sensitive medical equipment, manufacture military-grade communication devices or build oil-field valves and rotors, EN plating may be the solution for you.
